Crossroads black spot

All the emergency services use their flashing blue light to beat rushour traffic. They also jump red lights with their little blue flashy lights. All the Police chiefs have big black cars with blue flashy lights.

This ambulance driver thought he could Blue light his way through Butovo's Black Spot Crossroads where everyone jumps red lights.

Hopefully this idiot removed himself from the human gene pool.

Russian traffic

This is a Moscow crossroads that is a Black Spot. Everyone jumps the red light from both directions. Every other day there is an accident here when I am passing to work.
This is the giant Moscow car park known as the MKAD. The idea is that people get on the car park and slowly drive round until they want to get off, thus allowing someone new to enter the car park. They don't get out of their car, just shuffle forward. A great idea. It is reported that late at night people actually use this car park as a short cut to get from A to B Without Parking!!!! The English equivalent would be the M25
A impatatient Russian driver in a crappy Moscvich car jumping ahead of 4 cars and pushing in, the guy he pushed infront of was oblivious to his actions as he was having a good old laugh on his mobile.

Head pillow

Fantastic Russian idea to help the pissed Russian customer support his head whilst taking a pee. Each urinal has a padded cushion at head height. well, my head height anyway.

Sandra in Moscow. Our kitchen, texting Kayleigh.

She's only just got here and she has brought total disorder to my ordered tidy flat. :-(

New way home

I thought that I would try a new way home yesterday. Whilst most expats are driving through the centre of Moscow inhaling exhaust gasses or stuck on a hot sweaty and very loud metro, I have to contend with this..... Tsk tsk
A typical village just on my way to work. a few houses and one shop.

Steamy lake

A Lake steams in the early morning Moscow air.
Tracing the route back to it's origin it comes from the power station that I am working on. This must be the cooling water.

I wonder if it has any special fish due to it's heat?
